In 1997, joined Pennwell Publishing as Managing Editor of Power Engineering International with the mission to set up and build a UK office. During nine years at Pennwell Publishing UK:

* Re-designed and re-launched Power Engineering International magazine
* Launched Asian Energy Infrastructure magazine
* Launched Middle East Energy magazine
* Launched Global Power Review

Served as conference Chairman for:
* Power-Gen Europe
* Power-Gen Asia
* In 2001, launched Power-Gen Middle East
* In 2005 launched China Power

Joined the editorial staff of Wilmington Publishing's power group in 1996, working as Assistant Editor on Power Economics and Modern Power Systems. In 1998 joined PennWell Publishing as Senior Editor on Power Engineering International before rising to become Managing Editor.

During nine years at PennWell she also served as Conference Chair for some of the company's key regional energy conferences, including Russia Power and Power-Gen Latin America.

Holds a BSc (Hons) in Geology from the University of Durham and an MSc in Environmental Technology and Energy Policy from Imperial College, London.
